Challenge
Quantum computing posed an existential threat to data security. The encryption market was saturated with confusing offerings and unclear promises. Qrypt had cutting-edge quantum-resistant encryption technology but lacked brand differentiation and market presence.
Solution
We positioned Qrypt as "Restoring Order to the Internet," evoking early internet ideals of freedom and security. Instead of the industry's typical dark, aggressive aesthetic, we combined the warmth of protection with digitally-inspired visuals. Privacy was reframed as a fundamental right achievable through Qrypt's technology.
Approach
We rejected conventional security industry branding. Brand strategy, identity, and messaging came first — challenging complacency about digital insecurity while positioning Qrypt as a forward-thinking leader. Then UX/UI and full development: a web platform with welcoming, optimistic design instead of the aggressive iconography the industry defaults to.
