Challenge
Hospice and home health agencies live under Medicare audit pressure. One chart with missing documentation can turn into an Additional Documentation Request, a denied claim and a costly takeback. Seneca Shield had the idea: review every chart against CMS eligibility and documentation standards with AI, before an auditor does. It needed a product.
Solution
We designed and built the Seneca Shield web app end to end: UX strategy, content architecture, wireframes, visual design, front-end and back-end development, and the AI integration at the core of the workflow. A clinician uploads a chart, picks the audit type, and gets a scored review with the findings that matter, ready to fix or share with the compliance team.
Approach
We started with the audit flow itself, wireframing every state from upload to results and iterating with the Seneca team before any visual design. We studied the best product patterns for uploading files and reviewing findings, then shaped a calm, dense interface that compliance staff can live in all day: audits, patients, findings, feedback. Development followed the same system, so the product shipped as designed.
Results
Seneca Shield is live and selling to hospice and home health agencies, with a free three-chart audit as the front door. The product reviews every chart against Medicare documentation standards, so agencies walk into survey day knowing where they stand.
